D13 Together is an example of the power that residents hold when they come together.
Our neighborhoods have long made up one of Dallas’ most engaged voting districts.
We are united in opposition to plans to steamroll radical zoning changes that would make way for developments that residents overwhelmingly do not want. From the proposed 19-story Preston-Royal development to other controversial projects, residents have watched campaign promises give way to politics as usual.
We’ve spoken loud and clear about the imposing Preston-Royal development. A city blue card survey of nearby residents revealed 91 percent in opposition. We’ve gathered thousands of signatures knocking on doors with pen and paper, talking and listening to our neighbors, yet our elected Council member Gay Donnell Willis has abandoned campaign promises, siding instead with deep-pocketed developers.
